We explain before we quote
You get photographs and a plain-English account of what is wrong, and then a price. Not the other way round.
A licensed New Jersey contractor covering all 21 counties. Not a franchise, not a call centre, and not a truck that leaves the state after the next big storm.
We kept meeting the same homeowner: quoted a full replacement over the phone, sight unseen, with no way to know whether they needed one. A roof is among the largest single expenses a property owner faces, and it is sold in a market where almost nobody can verify what they are being told.
That imbalance is what we set out to correct, and it shapes how every job runs.
After every major storm, out-of-state crews appear, knock doors, take deposits and move on. Some do acceptable work. Many do not, and by the time the problem surfaces there is nobody left to call.
We are registered in New Jersey, we work only in New Jersey, and the warranty on your roof is worth exactly what the company behind it is worth in five years.
New Jersey requires home improvement contractors to register with the Division of Consumer Affairs and to display that registration number. Ours is NJ HIC #13VH00000000, and we carry $500,000 in general liability coverage. We will hand you the certificates before we start rather than waiting to be asked - and we would suggest asking any contractor who does not.
Most of our work comes from someone whose roof we already did. That is a slower way to grow than door-knocking, and it is the only way we are interested in growing: a bad job costs us far more than it earns.
Four things we do not compromise on, whatever the job is worth.
You get photographs and a plain-English account of what is wrong, and then a price. Not the other way round.
Landscaping covered, driveways kept clear, debris contained and a magnet sweep before we leave each day.
Proper fall protection, insured crews, and certificates handed over before the first day rather than on request.
Freeze-thaw, nor’easters and coastal exposure drive our material choices - not whatever is cheapest on the truck.
Tell us what the roof is doing and we will tell you what it needs - no pressure, no hard sell.
